Recently, the finals of the inaugural “Tea Fragrance at Yunshih” tea‑knowledge competition—hosted by the Student Associations Federation of Yunnan Normal University and organized by the university‑level student Tea Ceremony Art Troupe—were held at the Chenggong Main Campus of Yunnan Normal University. At the event’s outset, members of the university’s Tea Ceremony Art Troupe, staying true to the competition’s theme, presented a masterfully executed “Dayi Eight Styles” tea‑ceremony performance for the audience.

In the official rounds, 15 teams advanced to the finals after fiercely competing in the preliminary stage. The final consisted of three segments: timed selection, on‑the‑spot buzzer questions, and tea‑ware identification. During the timed‑selection round, teams responded with vigor, racing against the clock as they drew upon their accumulated knowledge to answer carefully. Following the intense competition, all teams remained closely matched; to lighten the tension, Li Shuang from the School of Arts at Yunnan Normal University delivered a calligraphy performance, while members of the Student Tea Ceremony Art Troupe offered a guzheng rendition.
During the on‑site buzzer‑answer round, the participating students demonstrated quick thinking, seizing every opportunity to respond. In the scoring phase, members of the Mingde Classic Recitation Society and the Zhuyun Music Society recited “The Poem of Poems in Tang Poetry”—“Spring River, Flowers, Moonlit Night.” The tea‑ware identification segment proved to be the pivotal moment of the competition, as it widened the gap between the teams. After a fiercely contested showdown, Team “Little Chili” clinched the championship of the inaugural “Tea Fragrance Yunshi” Tea Knowledge Contest with an outstanding performance. Finally, the judges presented certificates and prizes to the winning teams and posed for a group photo.
This tea‑knowledge competition aims to carry forward China’s tea culture and promote public awareness of tea‑ceremony arts. Through the event, more students have gained an appreciation for China’s time‑honored tea traditions, acquired valuable knowledge of tea‑ceremony techniques, and developed a deeper interest in and enthusiasm for traditional Chinese culture.

The “Mangshi 7,000-ton Green Food Tea Industrialization and Export Processing Plant Project,” invested in and constructed by the company within its industrial park, covers a total land area of 20,828 square meters and has a total floor area of 13,285 square meters. The project primarily includes one production line for refined green tea and black tea, one production line for Pu’er tea and De’ang sour tea, as well as associated ancillary facilities.
