On June 16, 2016, the Mangshi Tea Industry Technical Training Conference was solemnly held at the Tea Professional Cooperative in Group 2 of Liziping Mountain Village, Jiangdong Township. Participants received training on practical techniques including the conservation of ancient tea trees, the processing of fresh leaves from old‑tree teas, the prevention and control of tea garden pests and diseases, and proper fertilization. The conference was co‑hosted by the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture, and the Municipal Tea Association, with participation from more than 100 individuals, including representatives from the Prefectural Tea Technology Station, the Prefectural Plant Protection Station, the Municipal Tea Office, the Municipal Tea Technology Station, township leaders, association members, and local tea farmers.
At the meeting, Li Enlian, Secretary-General of the Municipal Tea Association, provided an exposition and demonstration on the conservation of ancient tea trees and the processing techniques for fresh leaves of ancient‑tree teas, covering both theoretical foundations and practical methods. Zhang Zongxing, a senior agronomist at the Municipal Tea Technology Station, drew on years of field experience to address the recent surge in common tea tree diseases and pests, offering guidance on prevention, the safe and judicious use of pesticides, and strategies for reducing pesticide residues in tea. Finally, Luo Benqiu, a senior agronomist at the Prefectural Plant Protection Station, gave a detailed briefing on the types of plant protection products and fertilizers currently available on the market, as well as best practices for their safe and appropriate application. Technical staff distributed more than 200 copies of the Ancient Tea Tree Conservation Handbook and a series of materials on tea quality and safety.
This training session featured rich, accessible content that was closely aligned with practical realities, making it highly applicable and providing valuable guidance for advancing the sustainable development of Mangshi’s tea industry.

The “Mangshi 7,000-ton Green Food Tea Industrialization and Export Processing Plant Project,” invested in and constructed by the company within its industrial park, covers a total land area of 20,828 square meters and has a total floor area of 13,285 square meters. The project primarily includes one production line for refined green tea and black tea, one production line for Pu’er tea and De’ang sour tea, as well as associated ancillary facilities. The total investment exceeds RMB 55 million, fully financed through the company’s own funds.
